Further to the previous shareholder update on March 10th, after a strategic review of the Company’s historical operating performance and the current state of the traditional retail apparel business, the Board and Management pivoted the business strategy and have wound-down its traditional wholesale business in favour of a more efficient, high-margin, direct-to-consumer e-commerce business model.  

Because of the shift to the vertical digital strategy, the following key metrics have improved for the quarter ending March 31, 2017 compared to the same period in the prior year:

  • Product margin increased to 68%, from 55%. Also up from the December 2016 Quarter.
  • Inventory efficiency increased 110% from 1.23x sales vs inventory to 2.58x,
  • Repeat purchase rates increased to 61%, from 58%,
  • Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) increased 9%,
  • Customer satisfaction “Net Promoter Score (NPS)” increased 12% to 67%, and has increased 26% since the company began tracking NPS. This represents the top 5% of NPS scores in the US (eg Apple 70%, Amazon 69%),
  • Fulfilment (Freight & Logistics) improved by decreasing from 27.4% of sales, to 19% of sales; and,
  • Overheads have reduced by 35% for the 9 months to March 31 compared to the same period in the prior year.

AmbiCom Holdings, Inc. announced today the addition of two new members to the Board of Directors of the AmbiCom:  Kevin Cornell and Marvin J. Miller Jr.

In addition, WLMG Holding Inc. (OTCQB: WHLX) recently announced that, with the assistance and cooperation of AmbiCom, WLMG reached an agreement with Voosh LLC, the exclusive sales agent of AmbiCom in the enterprise market, to sell the AmbiCom patented optimization software in the enterprise market space as an Authorized Voosh Sales Agent.

HD Barcode LLC and IriTech Inc. Partners to Introduce the World’s First Iris Verification ID Card Solution!

Mobile Positive Identification without Requiring the Internet or a Database

HD Barcode LLC and Iritech Corporation have partnered to introduce HD IrisCheck™; the world’s first ID card with biometric iris data embedded in a proprietary 2D code called HD Barcode. Unlike public codes that can be created by anyone, such as QR Codes, HD Barcode requires a secure code generator which remains with the customer. This ensures those with the ability to read HD Barcodes may not create or alter code data.

Schools and institutions have been reluctant to create and maintain databases containing personal identification information as possible breaches may compromise sensitive information. By temporarily obtaining iris scans, creating the secure code, and immediately purging personal information from the client machine, there is no data stored. Each agency or school will have a unique password protected code generator integrated on their server or would be granted cloud based access to create HD Barcodes. This eliminates the chance of backdoor hacking from occurring. Mobile devices with the authorization key will be distributed to select personnel for the sole purpose of reading only their HD Barcodes and no others. These mobile readers will use the USB enabled IriShield™ scanner for scanning and matching an individual’s iris to the data contained in the HD Barcode.

Embedding this information into a secure HD Barcode™ ensures information is readily available without a database lookup, Internet connection or even during power outages. Using a mobile device, authorized personnel are able to instantly verify an individual’s identification with HD IrisCheck™.  Additional text incorporating emergency medical information or other pertinent data can be embedded in the code and displayed to authorized mobile devices as well.

Accuracy of Iris Verification

Comparison studies between the many forms of biometric verification have been done by numerous agencies and institutions and have shown iris recognition to be superior. First, there is a high level of detail that can be captured in a person’s iris and stored as a template. Second, the technology is non- intrusive in that this is a non-contact form of verification. Iris patterns also remain relatively constant throughout the life-cycle of an individual. The system can even detect between a real eye and a photograph of an eye.

Newport Hospitality Group Opens Hyatt Place in Blacksburg, Virginia

Williamsburg, VA and Blacksburg, VA: (May 19, 2017) Newport Hospitality Group Inc., (NHG) a leading hotel management company, has opened a Hyatt Place property in Blacksburg, Virginia directly opposite Virginia Tech University. This hotel features 123 rooms and over 2,500 square feet of meeting space, and is the newest property in the fast-growing Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford metropolitan area.

Prior to the construction of the Hyatt Place, NHG had operated a Holiday Inn on the site since 2002. The Holiday Inn was originally built as a Marriott in 1974. Following the closure of the Holiday Inn in the spring of 2015, NHG oversaw the development of the new property – as well as the coordination efforts with the owners, brand and construction companies – to ensure that all elements of the process were cost-effective and valuable over the long-term.

Concurrent to this, NHG recruited the best local talent and engaged them with rigorous training for eight months prior to opening so that guest service excellence was never compromised. Representatives from Hyatt were also onsite for many weeks leading up to the launch so that all associates were fluent in the chain’s systems and brand standards.
