WHITBY, ON. (April 27, 2017) – On the heels of last month’s recognition as Canada’s number eight greatest place to work for women by the Great Place To Work Institute, 360insights was last night awarded second best overall place to work in Canada for medium-sized employers at the Institute’s annual awards gala.
The win marks five years in a row where 360 has consistently placed in the top four places to work in Canada, even in spite of growing the team 58% since last year’s award while being scattered through various ad hoc office spaces as they work toward completion of their ultimate new HQ building.
“I’m incredibly proud of this team and all that we’ve achieved together so far,” said 360’s founder and CEO, Jason Atkins. “In order to continue to innovate as a company while offering uncommon levels of service to our users, we work hard to stay connected with each other. That becomes a bit challenging when we have people working in so many different locations. To me, this award is a testament to the hard work our team has done to maintain that connectivity.”
Despite being physically scattered around the downtown core near their headquarters in Whitby, ON, one way the 360 team stays connected is by hosting a daily all-hands meeting for the entire company, distributing the meeting through a combination of shifting locations, and by using software applications such as WebEx and PostBeyond to share the daily updates.
360 is also currently at work converting a nearby decommissioned public school into their next headquarters and expect to start moving team members in as soon as September of 2017, with the plan to have all Canadian team members at the location by the end of year.
