Second place win makes 360insights now one of Canada’s top 4 places to work for 5 years running.

Written by admin on Apr 27th, 2017 | Filed under: Press Releases

Founding dedication to an unbelievable experience for team members and continued focus on inspiring corporate culture.

WHITBY, ON. (April 27, 2017) – On the heels of last month’s recognition as Canada’s number eight greatest place to work for women by the Great Place To Work Institute, 360insights was last night awarded second best overall place to work in Canada for medium-sized employers at the Institute’s annual awards gala.

The win marks five years in a row where 360 has consistently placed in the top four places to work in Canada, even in spite of growing the team 58% since last year’s award while being scattered through various ad hoc office spaces as they work toward completion of their ultimate new HQ building.

“I’m incredibly proud of this team and all that we’ve achieved together so far,” said 360’s founder and CEO, Jason Atkins. “In order to continue to innovate as a company while offering uncommon levels of service to our users, we work hard to stay connected with each other. That becomes a bit challenging when we have people working in so many different locations. To me, this award is a testament to the hard work our team has done to maintain that connectivity.”

Despite being physically scattered around the downtown core near their headquarters in Whitby, ON, one way the 360 team stays connected is by hosting a daily all-hands meeting for the entire company, distributing the meeting through a combination of shifting locations, and by using software applications such as WebEx and PostBeyond to share the daily updates.

360 is also currently at work converting a nearby decommissioned public school into their next headquarters and expect to start moving team members in as soon as September of 2017, with the plan to have all Canadian team members at the location by the end of year.

“The Great Place To Work award is a powerful indicator for me of how we’re doing at delivering on our founding commitments as a company,” added Atkins. “The Institute’s rigorous scientific approach, coupled with the heavy weighting of the anonymous team surveys make this a key metric that we really look forward to checking ourselves on each year.”

Free e-Learning solution for schools, universities and other educational institutions

Written by admin on Apr 26th, 2017 | Filed under: Press Releases

The most recent trends in education, mobility and e-Learning systems define a whole new approach to the purchase of online learning systems. There are a lot of things to consider. When choosing an e-Learning system, the users need to take into account aspects such as the speed of putting the system into operation, its user-friendliness or whether it is accessible from any device. And of course, it is very important to consider the cost of such a solution.

e-Learning system with zero costs

If there is an institution with an environment that requires zero costs for the e-learning platform, provides the perfect solution for them.

Easy to use in few minutes

The schools, universities or non-profit organizations can now use this e-Learning platform for free thanks to the Free enrollment plan, which enables the users to work with three standard lesson types: pdf, video and SCORM 1.2. All of the lesson types can be used for online education, reporting and testing the users with SCORM packages.

The teachers can insert their own lesson content to the free online learning platform. They can create a new one or they can re-use some of the material they already had (e.g. presentations, videos etc.). The lessons can also be prepared during grant educational programs; either way, the eLearning system runs for free.

Other useful features

The system can be created, filled with data and set up for use during a few minutes. This decreases the costs for implementing the LMS platform considerably; in fact, there is no need to ask an IT department to implement the system. It is not necessary to connect it with the school network in any way. is a cloud app and the users can access it immediately. All you need is an Internet browser and any mobile device. This flexibility enables to implement the free online learning platform in a very short time; all you need to do is to add new users and your content.

Furthermore, this free e-Learning platform supports the idea of teachers administrating the lesson contents and the users’ enrollments as well. The users can follow certain learning plans, they can search the courses themselves and enroll themselves to them. also provides detailed reports about all the users’ results and their improvement and automatic e-mail notifications to all the users. All these features make the use of this free online educational system easy both for the teachers and the students.

Personalized e-Learning platform

It is possible to personalize the platform with the school’s logo and colors, or to use the same colors they use on their web. That way, the users will perceive the platform as a part of the school system. There is also the possibility of setting up their own domain and subdomain for the schools, which obviously improves the general user experience. Not surprisingly, Training-Online won the 2016 Great User Experience Award.

Additional funding for schools and nonprofit organizations

Last but not least, the school may get an additional income by starting its own e-Learning marketplace: an e-Shop for courses. Any course or lesson content can be displayed in an e-Shop by the users, so the passers-by on the Internet can buy it while the schools earn money without having to do any extra work.

Aviation Weather Site MyFlight Forecast Partners With Airlines to Provide Custom Passenger Briefing Portals

Written by admin on Apr 26th, 2017 | Filed under: Press Releases

Traveling hundreds of miles per hour, thousands of feet in the air, a routine flight for an airline cabin crew can be a source of profound dread for passengers suffering from aviophobia (fear-of-flying). Throw in the x-factor of a few unexpected bumps in the ride, and some potential customers will check out of air travel completely. That’s why popular online turbulence predictor MyFlight Forecast™ has recently unveiled a customized Passenger Briefing Portal service for aviation companies, including airlines and charter operators, giving them a new tool to help set travelers at ease. The Portal will aggregate various weather reports to produce a turbulence index for the airline’s upcoming flights.

“Our goal is to make people feel safer traveling by air,” says Captain Timothy Griffin, Founder of MyFlight Forecast’s New York-based parent company, FlyHome. “We do that by giving them access to the kind of sophisticated weather and turbulence forecasts that pilots themselves rely upon. Knowing what to expect from your flight conditions removes that area of uncertainty where an overactive imagination can do its worst.”

MyFlight Forecast’s data includes information on precipitation and cloud cover, weather advisories, fleet tracking and a specific turbulence forecast for any flight in the United States. As much as one quarter of the American population suffers from some degree of flight nervousness, with 6.5% (>20 million people) being diagnosed with aviophobia. The term “turbulence forecast” alone generates over 22,000 Google searches per month. Particularly for smaller charter companies, maximizing sales means being able to access customers their competitors can’t.

“Through our iOS, Android and Alexa apps, as well as, we already helps tens of thousands of people every month who are taking it into their own hands to do this research,” says Griffin. “By working with us, airlines and private charter operators will be able to offer their customers a direct link to a customized Passenger Briefing Portal on our site, complete with the airline’s own branding and data pertaining to the routes they fly. We can pretty well guarantee clients will see significant uptake on the offer to check out the Portal from their customers. People are desperate to know this kind of information.”

Captain Griffin is more familiar than most with the needs and behaviours of aviophobes. He’s the principle instructor behind the FlightAnxiety 101™ course, which has an astounding success rate alleviating pre-flight anxiety, while the FlyHome brand has received positive coverage in many major news outlets.

“We’ve had great success going directly to travelers with MyFlight Forecast, and we’re excited to follow-up on that success by partnering with airline and charter companies,” says Griffin. “Everyone should feel safe in the sky.”

Trinity Exteriors, Inc Celebrates Anniversary, New Eden Prairie Location With Ribbon Cutting

Written by admin on Apr 25th, 2017 | Filed under: Press Releases

Eden Prairie, MN — Restoration contractor Trinity Exteriors, Inc founder Ted Swanson celebrated his company’s new location with a ribbon cutting hosted with the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Trinity Exteriors, Inc acquired its larger office space at 10179 Crosstown Circle in Eden Prairie to accommodate the company’s growth, and to facilitate its Southwest Metro customers more easily.

2017 also marks Trinity Exteriors’ 10th year in business. Swanson founded the company in 2007 with the intent to not only elevate, but to redefine customer service in the restoration industry.

As a graduate of the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship, Swanson says he appreciates the authentic business experience his professors brought to class. “The unrivaled education I received from St. Thomas has been instrumental in my being able to run an organization based upon integrity and service,” says Swanson. “With proactive communication and by anticipating our customers’ needs, we find we’re able to alleviate the typical stress associated with a renovation project. Each day we live our purpose To Take The Worries Away.”

Swanson continues: “With any large purchase that only happens once every couple of decades, there is a genuine fear of being taken advantage of, especially in an industry notorious for those bad contractors who cut corners. I knew if we could develop a business process with proactive communication and problem solving, we could satisfy a very high percentage of customers while building a strong referral base. Twin Cities homeowners would know where to go for a worry-free customer experience, and Trinity Exteriors would continue to grow from their referrals.”

Some notable Trinity projects include restoring the Macalester Plymouth United Church and replacing the roofs for cabins at the Veterans Rest Camp in Marine on St. Croix—one of which Trinity Exteriors and its partners donated to the cause.

Trinity Exteriors team members find that giving back to their community is one of the most fulfilling parts of the job, participating in volunteer events for PROP food shelf in Eden Prairie, the Salvation Army, and Toys for Tots.

On 29 and 30 April and 1 May 2017, the global guide of Heartfulness meditation, Kamlesh D. Patel (Daaji), will offer online meditation masterclasses that can be accessed globally. The Science of Stillness masterclasses are a continuation of the free offering, since January of this year, of the highly effective Heartfulness meditation and relaxation techniques that anyone over 15 years of age can practice.

Since January, over 1 million people, including educational, corporate and professional institutions worldwide, have accessed Daaji’s online classes, said the organizer, Heartfulness Institute, a United States non-profit. The 2017 meditation masterclasses series is offered at no cost.

“Through meditation, consciousness becomes the mirror that reflects your innate nature,” said Daaji. “All answers ultimately will only come from the heart. Whether to listen or not to listen, to change or not to change ourselves—all these signals come from the heart. If the heart is misguided, what can you do? So when we meditate, this misguidance disappears. You face yourself as you are.”

There is no dogma. These are self-development tools appropriate for modern life-styles and people from all walks of life. As ever, we are delighted to offer the Science of Stillness meditation as part of our online masterclasses through 2017.”

Lake Forest, California – April 20, 2017 – Community Civility Counts, in concert with iChange Nations, honored Green Power Partners’ CEO, Allan Parent and CAO, Colleen DeMaere at the 2nd annual World Civility Day event held in Hammond, Indiana on April 13th.  The event recognizes people who have worked hard to care for others and improve human life through dedicated and often selfless efforts.  The event  supports the slogan of iChange Nations, the Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”  as it aligns with the goals and mission of the event.

Following the resolution passed for “Community Civility Counts” in Gary, Indiana back in January 2016, the World Civility Day was created as a means for global outreach and though still young, the event has achieved great success.  In its second year of operation,  the event has reached far outside its home state of Indiana, reaching into the globe and celebrating those who work to make positive advancements for the future of mankind. The event brought many leaders together for the sake of celebrating and honoring those who make the event’s positive message a reality.  Various diplomats, ministers and community leaders, including the keynote speaker Curtis Hill, Attorney General of Indiana, attended last Thursday’s Civility event.

Presenting awards for the event was Dr. Clyde Rivers, founder and president of iChange Nations. iChange Nations is an organization created to “honor ambassadors and build statesmen”.  They work to recognize and support extraordinary humanitarian efforts and believe strongly that every individual life holds value and potential to provide impactful contributions to the world. Through their efforts, IChange Nations expands knowledge of diverse perspectives.  They encourage and support individuals to build better systems and to make not only effective but efficient decisions for their organizations so that their world impact can be optimized to the fullest.

Green Power Partners was recognized at the event as Allan Parent and Colleen DeMaere were honored with World Civility Ambassador awards.  The award acknowledges the global contributions made by the company as well as the individuals and praises the support of civil discourse throughout the nations building process.  Green Power Partners is proud to be recognized as a “national leader with cross-cultural readiness to stand for justice and peace through civil dialogue.”  According to Green Power Partners’ CEO Allan Parent, “We are greatly honored to receive this award and we are committed to sharing the principles of the Golden Rule throughout the world.  It is our mission to practice and promote the principles of civility wherever we go.”
