From Medical Equipment Sales to Franchise Owner, Texas Man Finds Success in Cleaning Industry

Written by admin on Feb 29th, 2016 | Filed under: Press Releases

Fort Worth, Texas resident Ted Proctor has known for the last seven years that he wanted to start his own business. After selling medical equipment for 15 years, he decided to start a business from the ground up, but unproven business models caused major struggles. Ted then shifted his focus to franchise ownership, meeting with a broker to find a franchise that would be a good fit for his vision of starting a business.

After investigating several opportunities and evaluating his options, Ted decided that Two Maids & A Mop was the best fit for him. After 15 years in the medical field, he found that an entirely new endeavor was the most appealing, and he was drawn to several unique facets of the Two Maids business model.

“I was looking for a differentiator that I could sell, and I found that in Two Maids,” says Ted. “The Pay for Performance plan stood out to me for how it promotes communication that allows for exceeding of customer expectations. Using this plan keeps customers’ best interests in the forefront which leads to profitability.”

The “Pay for Performance” plan is a proprietary formula in which employee wages are directly determined by customer feedback, and franchise owners have exclusive rights to replicate this in their operations. The franchise owners also reap the benefits of the innovative marketing approach that Two Maids executives have developed, focusing heavily on digital arenas, social media and organic reach, which allows franchise owners to quickly control a significant amount of their local market share.

Ted opened the Fort Worth location in February 2015 and is now in the early stages of opening a second Texas location. He is an “owner-operator” of his current location and will keep the same role in the second location. As “owner-operator,” Ted is directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure it runs effectively. Two Maids also offers an “absentee owner” option where individuals provide the monetary investment while the day-to-day franchise operations are handled by a manager fully vetted and recommended by Two Maids executives.

“Two Maids has been a great investment for me, and the business model created by Ron is definitely set up for owners to succeed.” says Proctor. “Two Maids gives me the opportunity to be in control of my own success, with my income being directly influenced by how much work I put in.”

Two Maids & A Mop is the nation’s second fastest growing cleaning company and recently landed on Inc. Magazine’s list of 10 Franchises That Swept the Nation in 2015, as well as earning a spot on Inc. Magazine’s 2015 list of 5,000 fastest growing private companies in America for the third consecutive year. Two Maids ranked No. 782 on the list, making them the second fastest growing cleaning company in America, the fifth fastest growing company in Birmingham and ninth in Alabama.

Immediate franchise opportunities are available. To learn more about the Two Maids & A Mop brand and investment opportunities, visit www.twomaidsfranchise.com or call 205.870.8643.

Parker & Sons Advises on Reverse Osmosis Systems and Water Treatment

Written by admin on Feb 29th, 2016 | Filed under: Press Releases

Hard water, scourge of homeowners and renters across the Southwest United states. Hard water forms when water percolates through stone and soil which has high mineral content, typically composed of calcium and magnesium carbonates. Minerals dissolve into and become part of the water. The particulars of hard water can cause water quality to vary greatly throughout a city. In Mesa, Arizona, hard water has been measure exceeding 22 grains-per-gallon. Other Phoenix municipalities rarely measure water harder than 16 grains-per-gallon.

Although hard water causes no major health risks, it can be a massive headache. Hard water leaves dense, crusty calcium deposits on fixtures, appliances, and surfaces throughout the home. Additionally, hard water can lower the effectiveness of high-efficiency appliances such as washing machines. It may even react poorly with many commercial detergents, hindering the removal of soil and bacteria while leaving difficult to manage soap curd stains.

Parker & Sons notes, homeowners and renters do not have to live with the negative effects of hard water. Hard water can be treated through the use of water purification systems and water softeners. Popular and effective water softening systems use ion-exchange technology to remove calcium and magnesium while replacing it with low levels of sodium.

Reverse Osmosis purify and demineralize water by forcing it through a semi-permeable reverse osmosis membrane. The membrane allows the massage of H2O, but inhibits the passage of minerals, particulates, and impurities. Reverse osmosis systems are designed to mimic the natural occurring water exchange system used in nature by pants and in the human body. Reverse osmosis systems are capable of removing up 99 percent of impurities. Reverse Osmosis systems are most effective at treating groundwater.

Reverse osmosis systems are frequently used in commercial setting in addition too domestic ones. Popular local brewery Four Peaks famously uses a robust reverse osmosis system to prepare water for use in brewing its legendary beers.

“Investing in a good water treatment system is something that will really benefit you and your family. I guarantee it will pay off down the line. Just like when you consider purchasing any other major home appliance, take your time and do your research. If you have any questions, consult a professional. Here at Parker & Sons, we have decades of experience installing water treatment systems. If you need any help at all, give us a call,” said Josh Kelly of Parker & Sons.

Hastings & Hastings Speaks on Hit and Run Accidents

Written by admin on Feb 29th, 2016 | Filed under: Press Releases

Accidents are stressful, scary, and abrupt impositions on everyday life. They can result injuries which can change your way of life forever. First and foremost, accident victims want to know that their rights can be defended and that they will have the opportunity to receive compensation for tragedy they have experienced. Often, this can become difficult in a hit and run accident. Hastings & Hastings speaks on hit and run accidents.

A hit and run accident is defined by the Department of Motor Vehicles as, “any accident in which a driver intentionally leaves the scene without providing contact information.” Hastings & Hastings notes that the Department of Motor Vehicles places an emphasis on intentionality.

Hastings & Hastings notes that the number one priority for an individual who has been the victim of a hit and run should be to gather as much information as possible. The end goal is to be able to identify the at-fault driver in order to hold them accountable. First, victims should be concerned with their health and wellbeing. They should pull over to the side of the road and call the authorities. Next, they should write down as much as they can remember regarding the accident. The should attempt to recall any details they can about the vehicle that hit them, focusing on make, model, color, and license plate. Without these details, Hastings & Hastings notes, identifying the at-fault driver could be very difficult.

When initially speaking with law enforcement officials, victims should explain that the other driver involved in the accident drove off. This will allow law enforcement officials to begin pursuit promptly.

If the at fault driver is never identified, drivers can file an uninsured motorist claim on their own policy, if they have that coverage. If the at-fault driver is identified, a claim can be made against the at-fault driver’s insurance.

“Accidents are always frustrating, and hit and run accidents are even worse. Hastings & Hastings is here to provide support, assistance, and guidance. These cases can be complex, but our legal team has extensive experience. Call us up and schedule a free, no obligation legal consultation to find out what your rights are as an accident victim,” said David Hastings, the founder of Hastings & Hastings.

Hastings & Hastings Speaks out Against Texting While Driving

Written by admin on Feb 26th, 2016 | Filed under: Press Releases

Every year accidents lead to the deaths of thousands of individuals. The National Safety Council has reported that approximately 1.6 million crashes a year can be directly attributed to a driver who was using their cellphone while driving. Distracted driving costs lives and yet is almost entirely avoidable. Hastings & Hastings has made it a goal to end distracted driving. For Hastings & Hastings, the first step in addressing distracted driving is eliminating texting while driving.

In an additional study conducted by the National Safety Council it was shown that, on average, answering a text takes approximately 5 seconds. A vehicle moving at 55 mph will travel the entire length of a football field in that span of time. The National Safety Council has gone on to state that texting while driving may be just as dangerous as drinking and driving. In fact, according to their study, a driver who is actively texting is 6 times more likely to cause an accident than a drunk driver. Hastings & Hastings finds this information a compelling case illustrating the dangers of drinking and driving.

Hastings & Hastings calls on all Arizona drivers to put away their cellphones when behind the wheel of a car. A tweet may be interesting or a Facebook status update compelling but life is priceless. The internet will still be around at the end of a commute, even a long one. Hastings & Hastings acknowledges that the disciple involved with staying off the phone can be hard to master. Hastings & Hastings advises placing the phone out of reach when driving to eliminate the temptation.

When driving, seconds matter. This is especially true for young, inexperienced drivers for whom the temptation of texting may be even more irresistible. The National Safety Council reports that teen driver are 4 times even more likely than adult drivers to be involved in an accident while texting or talking on the phone

“It is simple really. All people need to do is put down their cellphone while they are driving. I know it can be tough. I go through the same thing. People feel out of touch when they put their cellphone away. I can tell you though, being out of touch for a few minutes is much better than getting into a potentially fatal accident,” said David Hastings, the founder of Hastings and Hastings.

Parker & Sons Speaks on the Hottest Year Ever

Written by admin on Feb 25th, 2016 | Filed under: Press Releases

According to research recently featured in the New York Times, 2015 was the hottest year in recorded history. For Parker & Sons, a local home services company specializing in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, this is very interesting information. During summer, when temperatures routinely rise well above 100°C, HVAC units all across Phoenix start working overtime. It takes a massive amount of energy to lower the interior temperature of a home to a more manageable and livable level. Parker & Sons considers what the rise in temperatures mean for the HVAC and electrical industries.

According to data compiled and analyzed by a team of global scientists, the average global temperature during the year 2015 was .90°C above the average for the 20th century. This was also the highest average ever records since such information began being tracked in 1880. 10 of the 12 months during 2015 set new record highs in terms of average global temperature.

Parker & Sons notes, the odds of breaking global temperature records in back-to-back years has be estimated by scientists to be approximately 1:1500. This means that 2016 is likely to somewhat cooler than 2015.

Parker & Sons further notes that climate scientists believe that 2016 will be subject to a strong El Nino event, which is a complex weather pattern caused by variations in ocean temperatures. This unpredictable weather event could impact local temperatures here in the South West United States.

“We know this year was very hot, and it seems possible that 2016 might be very warm as well. Homeowners may wonder exactly what they are supposed to do with this information. I would say, they should just use it to stay prepared. Keep your HVAC unit tuned-up and well maintained. Don’t ignore problems if they crop up. The last thing you want is to have to sweat out a few 109°C days because you A/C unit breaks down,” said Josh Kelly of Parker & Sons.
