32% of media sales/executive managers finding it harder to compete with digital pureplays than just one year ago

WESTERVILLE, Ohio (March 30, 2015) — The just released white paper that expands on the 2015 State of Media Sales™ survey from shows the continued upward trend of media sales revenues from digital.

You can download the free white paper from by clicking here.

51% of media company executive managers and sales managers who responded to the survey conducted by Sales Development Services, Inc. say revenue from digital is expected to grow in 2015. Sales of digital advertising and marketing services is expected to jump from an estimated 8.6% of overall revenue in 2014 to an expected 13% by year-end 2015. Local newspapers and direct response companies generally reported even higher numbers on average.

However, 32% of respondents also state it’s harder to compete with the digital pureplays including Google and Facebook than it was at the start of 2014. And an equally important threat to digital revenue growth for local media may come from within.

“An improving economy has afforded some media sales teams the luxury of reverting to their comfort zones, selling traditional products where they feel they can generate more revenue with a higher margin”, says Sales Development Services CEO C. Lee Smith. “While this might be productive in the short-term, the resulting lack of attention to digital growth is not in their best interests long-term.”

Some other key highlights of the survey regarding digital are:

  • A significant majority of media companies in the U.S. are relying on their existing sales teams to sell digital, even though they may feel more comfortable selling legacy products.
  • Responses are mixed about whether selling digital products is getting easier or harder. 28% say it’s easier than it was a year ago, 29% say it’s harder, 43% say it’s about the same.
  • The top digital marketing services media companies are selling to local advertisers include ad retargeting, SEO, web development and tracking.

The State of Media Sales™ survey was conducted from December 2014 into January of 2015. The sample size for this online survey was 305 respondents who are decision-maker management/executive level sales professionals nationwide.

Dr. EJ Aspuru Wins Prestigious Vitals On-Time Award

Award Recognizes Doctors Who Provide Prompt and Effective Care Based on Patient Feedback

Atlanta, GA — March 27, 2015 — Vitals, a leader in providing online transparency tools and data that help consumers find top doctors and make informed decisions about their medical care, is pleased to announce that
Dr. EJ Aspuru has won a 2014 Vitals On-Time Award.

Each year, Vitals receives millions of patient-reported ratings on various components of their doctor’s care, including how long a patient waits to see the doctor. Vitals On-Time Award recognizes doctors who manage their practice effectively and efficiently.

“No one wants to wait long when they’re sick,” said Mitch Rothschild, CEO of Vitals. “As more people turn to online physician-rating sites to find a doctor, wait time is an increasingly important factor that impacts their choice, and ultimately their relationship with their physician.”

In fact, 10 percent of people in a recent Vitals study said long waits would be reason enough to find a new doctor. The national average wait time to see a physician is over 20 minutes. Yet, doctors who won Vitals On-Time Award had an average of only 11 minutes. In addition, Vitals On-Time Award winners must have an overall patient rating of at least 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0). Winning doctors must also have a medical license in good standing with no sanctions.

An icon denoting award will be prominently displayed on your Vitals profile, signaling to new patients that your office is professional and punctual. Annually, more than 100 million people search for doctors on our sites.

Dr. EJ Aspuru commented on the recognition:

Will the PIP code Replace the ZIP code? Edward Palonek Rothwell, Developer of a New Phone App, Has Great Expectations

Written by admin on Mar 27th, 2015 | Filed under: Press Releases

Edward Palonek Rothwell, creator of the first online search engine for unclaimed property and the global unclaimed property industry with is betting that his new phone app, PIP (Palonek Inestimable Positioning), will revolutionize the way we find people, homes and businesses. With a beta version clearly functional, a lot less people are going to get lost.

Palonek says, “The Zip Code was perfect for its time, but, now, in the Digital Age, I believe PIP, my new phone app, will profoundly change the way we find locations. PIP (Palonek Inestimable Positioning), its acronym, is derived from one of my favorite characters- Pip, of Charles Dickens classic Victorian novel, Great Expectations

The ZIP code, acronym for Zone Improvement Plan, was submitted to the post office by Robert Moon, a postal inspector, in 1944. It first began to function in a non-mandatory way for postal addresses in 1963. Later in the decade, ZIP became mandatory for all proper postal addresses as well as becoming an intrinsic component of Data Collection, Marketing Protocols, Internet Technology and Geographical Information Systems.

Just as Pip experienced the largesse of a benefactor who provided him with tremendous but completely unanticipated benefits, the world’s people are about to receive a free phone app, which will reverse the all-too-often uncertainty of finding people, homes or businesses. Savings for international commerce could run into billions of dollars.

The reality is- today, many locations are still incredibly hard to find.

–       A single father of five has a heart attack in Uruguay but all the ambulance can find is a cow pasture with three sickly-looking cows.

–       A FedEx delivery truck in Nigeria, having gotten lost three times, is days late before making a delivery to a tire factory. The factory loses a valuable client.

–       An older woman in Brooklyn with a medical bracelet has a heart attack in a movie theater but isn’t awake long enough to tell the operator where to find her. She is found dead in the woman’s lavatory.

PIP will limit the annoying and sometimes tragic location mishaps occurring to hundreds of thousands of people every day. With this app, most mobile devices like cell phones, tablets and computers, can utilize GPS codes to index, generate, store and share a unique smart address code produced by PIP. The app will link a physical/geographical address to a logical address through a special sequence of letters, numbers or both. Your cell phone creates a unique six digit code on the spot, which you can give to anyone to find that location anywhere in the world.

The unique smart address identification key can then be given to anyone with a Mobile Device/tablet or wireless computing device, that already has downloaded the Application, then that device will be able to decode/interpret that same smart unique address identification key into a physical GPS coordinate and ultimately represent/display that location on a variety of common/generic mapping applications.

The map Application on the Mobile Device, would display the physical location linked to that unique address identification key, eliminating the need to either verbally/electronically describe the desired destination and how to get to that point.

As Palonek says, “We say the PIP (Palonek Inestimable Positioning) has “inestimable positioning” because like the Zip code, there may be uses and technical improvements that will only really be discovered after the app’s launch.  Pip’s Victorian namesake would probably like the phrase, which so accurately describes the “great expectations” Pip had for himself as we now do for the rest of the world.”

Not a newcomer to technical innovation, Palonek came to his own back in 1994, when, in seeking to get his parents’ estate in order, he discovered the overwhelming difficulties the average person might face in recovering lost property. Although able to navigate the labyrinth of financial data for his own purposes, Palonek became disturbed at the plight of people losing their valuable assets. The result was the creation of the world’s first online search engine for unclaimed property, a multi-faceted program with a completely automated website.  At one point, Oprah’s producers called, his appearance on her show beginning an unsolicited media blitz including dozens of radio shows and TV shows like Maury Povich, CNN, ABC’s Primetime, and NBC’s Dateline. Found Money became the world’s premier international public service assisting in the reclamation of unclaimed properties.

“When I first started Found Money, people showed very little interest. With PIP, people get it immediately. Having already developed a business that skyrocketed to international success, I wonder where this one is headed. Zip Codes were invented by a man named Robert Moon. Is PIP going to reach out beyond that Moon? Will we be taking our Smart Codes to Mars? PIP can identify any location anywhere and share it with anyone on this planet. And, yes, perhaps on any other planet as well.”  We are in the process of testing a beta version

To find out about PIP or for a media interview with Edward Palonek Rothwell, call +507-6675-5452 or email him at Visit PIP’s website at, or the Android beta version of the download at the Google Play Store.

About the Colored Rocks Prize

The Colored Rocks Prize, awarded annually by the Colored Rocks Foundation, aims to shine a brilliant light on Georgia’s top male high school students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. All students chosen for this honor have committed to help at least one — but oftentimes many more — struggling, high-risk students improve a problem area and inspire them to graduate. Since its inception 4 years ago, the Colored Rocks Foundation has awarded $20,000 in funds to previous recipients, recognized 60 of Georgia’s outstanding students who personally helped more than 400 at-risk students improve their path to high school graduation, and inspired hundreds more with peer-to-peer counseling and success tips. BEVERLY HILLS, CA  Mineral oil is a by-product of the distillation process that turns petroleum into gasoline. It has many industrial uses, including as a cutting fluid, a lubricating oil, a coolant and as a cleaner and solvent for inks in fine art printmaking just to name a few.

Mineral oil is added to many lotions and other skin care lotions because it was originally found to draw in moisture from the environment. While mineral oil may keep moisture in, it also prevents skin from absorbing oxygen and naturally eliminating toxins and other waste products. Both of these functions of one’s skin are such vital bodily processes that their malfunction can create dry skin along with many other unhealthy conditions.

Dr. Lisa Benest, a board certified dermatologist from Burbank, CA explains: “Skin needs the natural oils and moisture it produces to be healthy but with the stresses your skin is exposed to these factors are often not present. Dry skin and other skin conditions come about when the protective outer layer is stripped away and irritants and bacteria get into the skin. The reason shielding lotions are such an effective skin care treatment is that they replace the protective barrier and allow the skin to heal from within.”

The solution: Skin MD Natural shielding lotion. It is a new discovery in the field of skin care, restoring one’s skin’s natural defenses. Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion helps to retain the skin’s natural moisture by forming a protective barrier against environmental toxins without leaving a greasy or oily film that prevents the body from absorbing oxygen and eliminating wastes. Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion contains only the finest natural ingredients and offers a money back guarantee.

Formulated with a special blend of five natural plant extracts that provide skin with unbeatable moisture while being lightweight and non-greasy, Skin MD Natural is also committed to protecting the environment. Skin MD Natural and Skin MD Natural + SPF 15 are manufactured in the United States using 100% solar power, free of animal products and animal testing.

Skin MD Natural is backed up by a 100% money back guarantee, and because it is the best moisturizer for dry skin, people that try the product are completely satisfied with the results. For more information call 1-800-540-4790 or go to their website:
