Carnival of Personal Finance #171
Written by debbie on Sep 23rd, 2008 | Filed under: blog carnivals
This week’s personal finance carnival is hosted by Sound Money Matters and it’s a celebration of Fall. This is my favorite time of year, actually. Cool enough to wear long sleeves and jeans, warm enough not to have to bundle up like an eskimo everytime you step outside! Apple picking… there’s nothing I don’t like about autumn.
Here’s the blog posts that caught my eye from the carnival listing:
- Hustler Money Blog reminds us that it’s the Time of the Year to make sure you’re not overpaying for your utilities and insurance. As the weather gets colder for most of us, you definitely want to check that you’re prepared to keep your heat in as efficiently as possible and keep the cold air out!
- Taking Charge now knows that you are your own best credit repair company.
- The Money Answer Guy answers the question: How Can I Be Sure My Loved Ones Know What to Do in Case of the Unexpected?
- Student Scrooge explains the new trend toward Cash “Discounts” At Gas Stations.
- American Consumer News answers the question: Should You Take Cash Back or Low APR Financing on A New Car?
- The Dough Roller offers a quick quiz so you can answer this question yourself: Are You a Millionaire in the Making? (There are 7 millionaires in the making… actually 7 multi-millionaires in the making at: www.7m7y.com)
